In the Close Embrace of Sekhmet

I have been under the keen eye of Sekhmet for some time, meeting the many forms and wisdom ways she holds. I have become so devoted to her to her that I sometimes cannot tell where she ends and I begin, she is wrapped around me, breathing through me, seeing the world through my eyes. In this close embrace I have discovered my truth, uncovered my beliefs, found my capacity once more, and finally discovered everything about myself that 'I am not'.

As this has happened, something magical has appeared around me, flow has returned, synchronicity has heightened and self-love pulses through my blood.

From my experience in this 'up-close-and-personal' relationship with Sekhmet I have seen how compassionate she is, how she can churn life into chaos, only to reveal the cosmic balance which lives at the centre of the storm, in your heart. 

Sekhmet is more than a Solar goddess, she is more than fierce, she is the window into the cosmic fire that warms our hearts desires, she is a firm and palpable presence that invites you to be the raw vulnerable soul that you are. Surrendering into her embrace is how you find yourself. 

In both Sekhemt and myself I have discovered the Mother I have always needed, the teacher who shows only the truth without playing with your confidence, the raw Sekhem magic that is available in even the most mundane of moments, and most of all I discovered a relationship with the Divine that can be entered through simply devoting yourself to the feeling you can't ignore.

Sekhmet, and all of the beloved Neteru are Divine principles of nature and of the cosmos, they are available within, surround us in the natural world and call to us from the star nations.

Meeting them takes a simple invocation that accompanies your intentions. They respond instantly, through words in books, the creatures around us, in the interactions with others.

When you see them, the relationship grows louder. They wish nothing more than to unlock their Divine expression that lives within each of us. Our only role is to surrender, trust and be open to their wisdom ways and medicine.
