The feminine feline presence of Bast can be felt at this time, her messages have been whispering to remind us that she can be called upon to bring us our deepest sacred desires. She is the midwife as we begin birthing our desires into creation.
The birthing process is uncomfortable, from conception the spark of light that is your idea must break apart and multiply several times to form and organise itself as the desire you dream of - just as a human baby begins as cells - the zygote, then the embryo before the formation of a child can be seen. The creation itself as well as the mother - or environment in which it grows also feels the discomfort of the creation as it forms.
Bast appears before conception, she comes to celebrate all that is energetically becoming, she sees what is ahead of you, she dangles a taste of the beauty you desire. Her reason for this is to give you the strength and commitment to make it through the discomfort ahead as the sweet taste of your holy longing inspires and calls you to keep on following into the unknown - through the birthing process, through the contractions, before finally you expand into your desires.
2023 has been a year of pregnancy, discomfort and introspection - deeply sitting within our inner world can feel very chaotic in our daily lives due to the contrasts of these places, yet as with all creations the discomfort and disparity is a Divine necessity to bring forth all that is forming within our inner wombs of desire. Bast welcomes you to invoke her presence as we birth collectively into a new year, the year of 8 - of bringing forth our creations, of abundance and reciprocity.
Call on Bast as you close the year and meet her on the other side with all that you desire ripe ready to be born. If you feel her call you may wish to set an Altar and honour her, invoke her presence and tell her your desires - she already knows but your words will bring them forth with conviction.
Can you recall and review at this time to see what it is you may have set in motion with a seed or idea that you may now feel is readying itself to become a manifested creation? Welcome it into 2024, bring it to life, bring all that you have been working on deep within your inner world through the growth of seven (2023) and own all you are creating and becoming.
