Day 1 in Luxor

I have just watched a beautiful sunset from the edge of the Nile. It took a little while to land here, I even had to change hotel, but where I am now is beautiful and quiet. I was invited to an evening event that took place at Deir el Bahari - the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut - which I have to say was quite the welcome back to Egypt.

My first day of exploration took me to Karnak. The itinerary I was given had been different but my guide suggested that when in Luxor it is best to start at Karnak, this felt right on so many levels so this is what we did.

Karnak is a complex. The main worship and dedication there is to Amun but within the complex there are temples dedicated to many other neters and pharaohs inscluding Rameses II and Queen Hatshepsut. The art during her reign is so detailed.

I was blessed to have the time alone with Ptah, Sekhmet and the room of Nefertum. A place I visited last year and two the Neters who made this trip happen. Sekhmet has been teaching me in many ways.

Here are some of the photos of Karnak... Let me know what you feel from the energies in the comments below.

I like to invite your attention to the Seven gates, the ninth image above. These are located in the Osiris chapel and will be part of the explorations in my upcoming Seven Gates chakra journey on 28th November. You can book to join the online event here...

With love,
