The First Gate - The Base Centre

After opening the gates to the Mysteries, we step into the first threshold of the vessel —

the Base Centre.

The Base anchors us into the body and the Earth. It is our place of belonging, safety, and survival.

It is the ground of our human life — the steadying force that allows us to be here.

Yet within this gate lies more than simple grounding.

The Base is where our physical will to be in a body is anchored.

It is the “yes” to incarnation.

When harmonised with the Crown — where the Soul’s will descends —

the Base invites and unites with it, anchoring in the will to be here.

From this harmony, life-force begins to rise.

Here our gifts, potential, and purpose awaken.

This is why the Base has long been known as the home of Kundalini —

the serpent fire that rises through the body, layer by layer, as each chamber opens.

The Base carries many threads of the Divine Masculine.

It is here we meet fear and survival.

It is here we discover courage, strength, and the power to stand when life tests us.

The Base also weaves closely with the Solar Plexus — a potent pairing for empowerment.

Where the Solar Plexus tests our fire and self-worth, the Base anchors the will that keeps us steady,

so we can rise when life calls us forward.

When imbalanced, the Base can leave us feeling unsafe, unstable, disconnected.

We may lose courage, or struggle to feel at home in our own body, lives, or place.

When harmonised, the Base opens to Divine Will.

We feel anchored and supported, safe to stand in our truth, safe to live courageously upon the Earth.

The first gate teaches us that being human is no accident.

It is the soul’s choice, anchored through will, so that we may embody the divine in matter.
